Futura Nova v3.0 was released in 2009.  Besides some bug fixes, this new version 3 includes the many significant features and improvements:

• a complete platform upgrade, ensuring full installation compatibility with Windows XP and Windows Vista
• new installation concept, split between Program Files and ‘Futura Work
  Folders’. The Futura Work Folders contain the key aspects which the user
  typically needs, especially Project folders
• now possible to run the software without the user having Administrator rights
• Sybase database engine now located in the System Tray
• new XP-style ‘look and feel’ to user interface
• compatibility with all recent versions of Microsoft Word, including Word 2007
• replacement of graphics component – much improved S-curves and uncertainty profiles
• introduction of new pop-up window for Scenario Analysis data entry and editing, via Ctrl + Enter
• new short-cut to the Futura Nova Projects folder via Start – Futura Nova v3.0 – ‘Access to Projects Folder’ makes accessing reports etc much easier
• new ‘Description’ icon on the Schedule toolbar makes accessing the activity description field far quicker
• improved schedule model checking
• fully-updated Help file, accessed via [F1] or the Futura start menu
